Still the odd glaring error. First episode of the London - Chatham trip and at around the 01:25 mark we see a Southern apparently exiting a tunnel wrong line with tail lamps showing. Is there really any need to show a bit of reversed film like this?

Been where? I have been to both Cannock and Kirkgate, and althoiugh Cannock may be ugly, subpar and passenger unfriendly, Kirkgate is something else. When was the last time someone was raped, or had their car crushed by the crumbling station building at Cannock?

Is there a book to accompany the series? Would more than likely be a decent read. Seems like these days every series has their own book (take Jamie Oliver for instance, he must print a few different ones each year it seems).

I seem to remember that this also happened on the Ely to Kings Lynn show - FCC heading towards the camera with tail lights showing on what I believe was wrong line (unless it was on a single track section)

Depends which you base 'worst station' on. For me it has to be Kirkgate, which is dangerous, and also a brothel. Cannock is just ungly and inadequate.

Though I hate to be seen to be backing Ian's argument, as he came across as a bit of a dick in his last post on this thread (no offence ), at least crime wise, statistically Ian is correct.

Cannock is statistically the 'worst' of the two, though 6 crimes in a year hardly makes it the Compton of south Staffordshire that Ian might imagine... Also, reported crime has reduced at Kirkgate. Six reported in 2009, four in 2010.

Stating that a railway TV programme is as boring as watching a toilet brush is not a joke. Jokes generally have a punchline, and generally people laugh.
