There is a picture of a DVT in the new livery doing the rounds on social media taken from round the back of Wabtec. The OP of the tweet had said that there may be an embargo on pictures being released.
I don’t suppose you have any links or Twitter handles? There is a picture of a DVT in the new livery doing the rounds on social media taken from round the back of Wabtec.
91110 is going in for a full re-vinyl or repaint and will return in same livery as now.I would be surprised if it was for a repaint as the livery on 91110 (and on 91111) was refreshed at Wabtec only last year.
I stand corrected!91110 is going in for a full re-vinyl or repaint and will return in same livery as now.
Indeed, they've not been repainted since East Coast, so for most locos 10+ years agoThey're surely due a proper re-paint by now!

Many thanks in advance![]()
Is there any update on when 91127 will appear again?
I stand corrected!

I thought I was dreaming it but have found the reference - the most recent 225 Group magazine mentioned that there would be tweaks to the celebrity locomotives so that they better match the new look for the Mk4s. So maybe some minor changes?91110 is going in for a full re-vinyl or repaint and will return in same livery as now.
It looks exactly like the old intercity livery
Absolutely horrendous. Laughable.

I'm inclined to agree. This is harking back to a time which certainly wasn't the golden age of rail. I'm hoping this is a one off, but reading back up the thread I think they are all getting this treatment? Next they'll be bringing back Travellers Fayre sandwiches as well.Absolutely horrendous. Laughable.

Some people have no taste !
I hope they all get the treatment. Better than these dreadful, grey, covered in dirt liveries that seem to have been in fashion for the last fifteen years.
Laughable is making such a strident judgement based on seeing it from such an odd angleAbsolutely horrendous. Laughable.
There's definitely a resemblance, but it's not at all exact: https://twitter.com/LocoSpottingNW/status/1512551750443667462It looks exactly like the old intercity livery
One way or other, it can’t be worse than what they’re in at the moment.
Personally I always thought GNER livery suited them best (especially with the cast-iron adornments).
It’s certainly going to be an odd experience seeing them come past. For a few moments it will feel like the clock has turned back 30 years.
No need to jump to conclusions and assume that’s what it’s based on. That’s not the only picture I’ve seen of it.Laughable is making such a strident judgement based on seeing it from such an odd angle![]()
Just what we'd need to throw this forum into disarray with opinionsShould paint the 91s in large logo and the stock in blue and grey. None of this new-fangled InterCity malarkey.
Yes GNER was the one I experienced them in in my younger days traveling the ECML. Good dark livery, bold red stripe - could have been another candidate for revitalising them - might be commercial issues though !
Fundamentally I'm glad:
1) They'll still be with us for a while
2) They're finally getting a proper repaint !
It doesn't happen at Kings Cross yet.It also appears that LNER are now labelling services operated by 91/Mk4s as 'LNER InterCity 225' on station PIS screens.
https://twitter.com/225groupuk/status/1534227177041960960 (with photographic evidence!)
It might just be LNER managed stations, at least for now.It doesn't happen at Kings Cross yet.
Nothing to do with that, 67 is of to Neville Hill for coupling training.Anyway.. I would assume that if the media has been shown the complete set, we should see it leaving Doncaster at some point this week.
There are paths on the 17-06 for;
0Z60 0918 Doncaster West Yard to Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D
0Z61 1735 Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D to Doncaster West Yard
but I assume these are just 67s.
Thanks 800001, I suspected so but I couldn't see any other paths leaving Doncaster Works.Nothing to do with that, 67 is of to Neville Hill for coupling training.
