What's the exact issue on the Lea Valley Lines today out of Liverpool Street?

Been suspended since around 9:30 this morning and looks to be the rest of the day, due to "power supply problems" at Stoke Newington.

This may seem a silly question but what's happened and what's the repair time looking like?

Particularly difficult on a Tube Strike day!

So why don’t they run the service via Stratford and Lea Bridge , picking up the normal route at either Tottenham Hale or Seven Sisters for Southbury Loop or Enfield Town services ?

Indeed I got through this morning with the train not stopping at Stoke Newington.

Would the diversion not mess up the Greater Anglia trains timetable ?

Because of the amount of extra time going that scenic route would take. To path a train that way you have to avoid GA services between Liverpool St and Stratford, freight at Stratford, different GA services between Stratford and Tottenham South Jn, and the Barking - Gospel Oak service and other freight at South Tottenham.

Then add the single line section between South Tottenham and Seven Sisters and perhaps you have the answer Preferable to advise passengers to use the equivalent Lea Valley line station for some stations, or a bus.

As for route knowledge in theory LO drivers sign it but there is so little work that way it’s possible certain individuals don’t.

Stoke Newington is not the only station that would lose its service.
