Any news on 755 pairings in service today?
Just left Colchester towards Norwich on 755338, didn't see what is behind it.Any news on 755 pairings in service today?
So this is a daily planned diagram?see post 6977 above.
The GA website journey check lists the 1500 London - Norwich as 7 cars so could be a 3 & 4 car 755? Edit.. I missed the post above! An

Going by post 6971 on Saturday it looks to be until May 13th..Edit sorry lost signal trying post before. So this is a daily planned diagram?
Been testing 103 for the last two days. Unfortunately failed on 5Q35 this afternoon causing some disruption so back on the depot for now.745103 is the worst offender. To be fair, the 745/1 spend far longer out in service between depot visits.
411 at the rear.Just left Colchester towards Norwich on 755338, didn't see what is behind it.
There are enough 745s now as one usually just retires to Crown Point after it’s 10:00 from Liverpool Street when the 755s take over from 12:32. Not seen next weeks mods yet. Will that double 755 be out on bank holiday Monday?
Or will they have enough 745s due to the engineering block north of Cheshunt?
At least one of them should’ve been on electric.Travelled on the 15:00 today 338+411 as reported, worked on diesel power (at least as far as Colchester where I got off). 42min 05sec start to stop, pretty impressive.
338 developed pantograph problems on the up journey. Unable to rectify at Liverpool St. Stadler advised both units to run diesel on 1500 back to Norwich.Travelled on the 15:00 today 338+411 as reported, worked on diesel power (at least as far as Colchester where I got off). 42min 05sec start to stop, pretty impressive. Used the longer dwell at Colchester to transfer the trolley from the rear unit to the front! Pretty busy from London but comfortable.
That's probably why they ran that working as a 745 today. It was 006.338 developed pantograph problems on the up journey. Unable to rectify at Liverpool St. Stadler advised both units to run diesel on 1500 back to Norwich.
Really if there are available 745's it should always be a 745, with 755's as a very last resort. That's probably why they ran that working as a 745 today. It was 006.
42 mins is good going considering that service usually gets slowed down approaching Witham. The Braintree service ahead of it has to slow down to almost a crawl before the signals clear into Witham loop platform.Travelled on the 15:00 today 338+411 as reported, worked on diesel power (at least as far as Colchester where I got off). 42min 05sec start to stop, pretty impressive. Yes, booked to be a BMU3 + BMU4 at the moment.Any indication as to whether the 755's will be out on the 12:32 today?
It's 418 on the rear.It is indeed ...on AC power at the mo....should be lively. 755 325 at the London end. Not sure of what is at the country end..
and it is ..0-100mph in under 2.5 mins and before the A14 underbridge despite the 25mph platform exit and 30mph crawl through Ipswich tunnel! Pocket rockets indeed!
Very cosy on the 15.00 out of Liverpool Street. Very few spare seats. Not sure this swrvice is ideal for 7 or 8 vice 12 coaches. It's 418 on the rear.
Agreed. However its switching to 1400 from start of summer timetable. Is it busier than normal due to early start of bank hol. Weekend perhaps ?Very cosy on the 15.00 out of Liverpool Street. Very few spare seats. Not sure this swrvice is ideal for 7 or 8 vice 12 coaches.
If there’s a few spare seats throughout, I’d venture that it the perfect formation, little wasteVery cosy on the 15.00 out of Liverpool Street. Very few spare seats. Not sure this swrvice is ideal for 7 or 8 vice 12 coaches.
How many seats in a 7-car vs 8-car - vs 12-car? Most of the tip down seats by the doors were in use.If there’s a few spare seats throughout, I’d venture that it the perfect formation, little waste
396 in 7 cars, 458 in 8 cars, 704-722 in 12 cars. How many seats in a 7-car vs 8-car - vs 12-car? Most of the tip down seats by the doors were in use.
Thus causing a stink at Liverpool Street and putting off travellers as a result!338 developed pantograph problems on the up journey. Unable to rectify at Liverpool St. Stadler advised both units to run diesel on 1500 back to Norwich.
Oh please. It's about as modern a diesel train as you can get, it hardly causes a stink and I doubt very much it is putting anyone off. If it was a 37 belching out fumes and filling the station with noise and poison I might accept your point. Thus causing a stink at Liverpool Street and putting off travellers as a result!
It would make very little difference. Thus causing a stink at Liverpool Street and putting off travellers as a result!
