Hi all,

I'm trying to work out from the NRES website, what the minimum connection time is for a journey involving me arriving into London Marylebone and departing London Euston.

I've done a google search & also tried to use the NRES website itself, with nothing popping up.

Please could someone point me towards the relevent info?

Thanks. :)

Marleybone to Oxford Circus on Bakerloo, then Oxford Circus to Euston on Victoria. Maybe 20 mins if Tube connection are ideal?

See page 44 of this PDF (the "commercial information" from the current national timetable)
http://www.networkrail.co.uk/browse documents/eNRT/Dec10/Commercial Information.pdf

An oddly specific figure of 51 minutes is given as minimum connection between Euston and Marylebone (in either direction).

(FWIW the way I would do it would be to walk to Euston Square - 2 mins from Euston itself, then get the H&C/Circle (or preferably Met - as the interchange there is shorter) line to Baker Street, then Bakerloo to Marylebone. On a good day this could be done in 15 minutes)

Thanks amcluesent, although I'm walking between the two stations. :)

What i'm looking for, is the official minimum time which I need to allow between my train arriving into Marylebone and my next train leaving Euston, in order to make it all 'valid' as such. ;)

I think voyagerdude is referring to the minimum connection time stipulated by National Rail for things like split ticketing.

That's the one! :D

I'm annoyed I can't find it at all on NRES ... :(

Although not included on a Cross London ticket, I recommend the 205 omnibus from Marylebone to Euston.

Excellent! That's what I prefer to do too (unless I have the bike with me).
Its 2kms / 1.2 miles. That's about 20 mins walking.
And it avoids all the doubts and uncertainties which arise when using the underground or busses.

Thanks Dave ;).
I did it in around 25 minutes last time (last August), including stopping a few times to make sure I was still heading the right way.

18's from the Marylebone Road side of the Landmark Hotel are more frequent now that they've been de-bendied.

Happened about November-ish. After it first happened, they had double-decker 18's going around in pairs. Now it seems like they're hunting in packs...:)

Yeah it has been some time, I use the 18 quite a bit from Euston/Baker Street to Great Portland Street and has modern double-deckers. I don't use the 18 from Marylebone as it stops all the way down on Marylebone Road but the 205 stops right outside the station.

As I do Paddington - Gt Portland Street and like to give the Underground a miss (normally too crowded for my liking) my preferred bus is the 27 as it doesn't do the Marylebone jink. However, most days I end up walking anyway. I find that's it's almost a dead heat between me and a 205 between Edgware Road and Marylebone due to traffic.
