The weathering's very nice on that. The livery's also a nice shade of blue - lots to like!A new arrival from the 50% off TMC sale. I'm sure @Cowley will like this one!

The crossover from track 9 to track 8 has been started with the track 9 point. Power connections had already been added to the left to allow the section to be powered up without delaying the reopening to service.

You can see here that it will give direct access to the loco depot (bottom right) for track 8 in addition to tracks 9 & 10 greatly increasing flexibility and an easier route to other tracks.

56.084 on the left carried out the track testing and now time to wait for the glue to dry!
Can I have minus points?Beautiful trackwork as always. Gold star @reddragon![]()
Can I have minus points?
My cross over has been completed (well a few days ago) and tested. I had to solder a wire on. I'm not good at soldering wires to tracks!!!!

BR 71000 has departed for it's new railway.
No because there's an insulator at both ends & I didn't want to cut the rail.Did you have to solder them because of them being electrofrogs?

. A rake of 12 so I have added them temporarily to my Freightliner rake to make a 22 wagon rake.

My Steam loco 71000 Duke of Gloucester sold on eBay has been returned by the buyer as it's buffer came loose. Sadly on it's return its connection to the tender broke and it has stopped working!! Not bad I guess as only the 2nd return item in 2 years.
Ona better front, a new rake of Accurascale HYAs arrived today with a nice 12.5% discount. A rake of 12 so I have added them temporarily to my Freightliner rake to make a 22 wagon rake.

Some decent detail & they run well even with 22 wagons in the rake unlike certain other wagons in my fleet

I do have some more wagons on order, so I better get on with the freight sidings upgrading works!
For that I need 7 new points and a box of flexi-track.
I see it as an investment. Those wagons look fantastic. I know you got a discount but I’m sure that was still a fairly hefty bill!

This is why I need the freight loop, the wagons are still entering the viaduct! 36 in all this time

I see it as an investment.
You get minimal interest in money in the bank and it is useless to you. Whereas money spent wisely on model railways gives you both enjoyment and at least your money back and often a tidy profit!
A template until I have the correct point! You can’t fool me. That last one’s upside down.

I have the track to complete the nearer freight loop but need points & track for the next 3 and the new suburban station.
Later ###
The first track is connected up and temporary power in place to allow a test loco and then a test train. 1 Dapol wagon derails on it, no others
##### 20th #####
Freight trains are using the new freight loop, it can store 2 trains in the loop making 3 freight in the section

I am now able to store my Lima tanker train, Network Rail / EWS works train & Stone hopper trains, 3 locos & 47 wagons in a through loop. Once I have track to do the remaining 3 loops, all of my freight will be on the nearer down relief lines, included the isolated 66 + container train making operations easier.
Sunday 22nd #######
So far my Hattons 66, Dapol 68 and Bachmann 57 are the only ones able to complete the 36 wagon challenge!
Everything else fails!
I have ordered a box of 25 tracks, plus I need s few more points to finish this area. Not sure what to do with the Suburban lines yet. That’s all looking very impressive. Is there much more track to do now or are you pretty much there?
36 wagons is a hell of a weight. I’m not surprised that only a few locos can manage it!

I have loads of old peco flexi so it's not an impossible idea, I just need to work out how to do it economically. Are you going to have a go at 3rd rail?

I might do the suburban lines as 3rd rail.

Flipping impressive!
Now that is amazing. Very realistic with that amount of space you've got to play with - loving those long loops and the super trains in the sidings!
