East Mids Rover 26-30 Railcard Issue

Hi all, I purchased a 7 Day East Midlands Rover from an EMR ticket office today. I wanted to get a 26-30 Railcard discount, but the staff couldn't find this option on their system.

They thought the discount should be available and so issued it with a 16-25 Railcard selected, and gave me a stamped note explaining why they had done so.

On BR Fares the 26-30 Railcard does seem to be a valid discount for this rover, but actually the National Rail website doesn't show it.

Is the 26-30 Railcard supposed to be valid with this rover? Separately, is it likely I'll have any trouble using it with the stamped note? Is it worth trying to get it re-issued correctly?

There is nothing on the NRE site, as you say. However the fact that it exists in BR Fares indicates that EMR do intend for the discount to be available with the 26-30 Railcard. Generally, 26-30 Railcard discounts are available on the same fares as for a 16-25 Railcard, with the only exception being Caledonian Sleeper (who do not offer any 26-30 Railcard discount).

As the member of staff sold you the 16-25 Railcard discounted fare in the full knowledge of the Railcard you held, and has given you a stamped note explaining this, your ticket is contractually valid and the note should be more than enough evidence of this, should anyone question the 'incorrect' discount being applied.

Looking at Knowledgebase, a 26-30 Railcard discount is only shown as being available on the 3 in 7 Day East Mids Rover and not the 7 Day version. This is probably an oversight on EMR's part, but I'm not back at work 'til Wednesday to check on an actual TIS.

My TIS indicates a discount is available.

Worldline MTS gives a 26-30 discount on both 3 in 7 and 7 day versions of the East Midlands Rover.

my star machine shows the ticket no problem, guess it might be the member of staff who could not find it LOL
