The cheapest possible journey in the UK?

Without getting into specifics, I get given money if I make a train ticket purchase once a month. Now, there's no rule of how expensive this journey needs to be.
Currently, I'm buying a single ticket from Lichfield Trent Valley to Lichfield City with a hypothetical 16 - 25 Railcard. This costs 65p.
I never travel these journeys, I live hundreds of miles from Lichfield - I just have to make a purchase at the Trainline.

Can anyone think of a cheaper journey, with whatever railcard you want?

I can't get any cheaper, or match your price for any other journey I can think of. I've tried the usual suspects.

With your railcard, the best alternative I can find if you want to vary your journey is

Ryde Esplanade to Ryde Pier Head Sunday Single or Evening Single both 95p.

Nothing else I can find under a pound. Maybe someone else can

This is the cheapest regular rail ticket available to the public in the UK, yes.

Could it be a child ticket? If so, the same journey on a child rate would be a bit cheaper.

You can have a longer ride for your money if you go from Ryde St Johns Road to Ryde Pierhead, which is also 95p.

Well the original post certainly invites speculation (even if they're not keen to share.) My best guess is it's a peculiarly restrictive legacy from an eccentric aunt.

I guess the implied restriction was it must be a ticket that's on sale at the trainline.

An Arlesey to Biggleswade Super Off-Peak single with railcard discount is also 95p. While it still isn’t as cheap as some other examples given in this thread, that isn’t bad for a journey just over 4 miles.
