I’ve posted before about GBRF so apologies in advance, but I have a few questions.
Holiday entitlement
Shift pattern
And general T&Cs

It means 5 whole weeks . six days as floating usually means ad hoc , as in you need a single day or two etc and you book them off. I'm not GBRF , but it's the same kind of thing at every toc/foc. So I get a week off early spring and then a week late spring. Two weeks in summer and one week in winter. I then have some floating or ad hoc to use as I like.

Wons, Pons, company notices, rulebooks, rosters, email, forms, assessments, Tops, timetable advisory etc plus the normal non business related tablet uses.

It was 8 floating days until this year…but have extra rostered week to compensate.

Not sure why the change or how it got through because staff were never consulted.

Banking rest days is not an official policy but it has been done from time to time .

Wons, Pons, company notices, rulebooks, rosters, email, forms, assessments, Tops, timetable advisory etc plus the normal non business related tablet uses.

Very good use of technology to put those on to ipads. All those paper WONs/PONs/STNs are a shocking waste of resources !!

Does anyone know what counts as “handling hours” for qualified drivers. Is it actual drive time, route learning classed as hours, depot driving?

Repeated thousands of times a week across the industry! If would be cheaper to issue personal iPads to everyone who needs access to them rather than print paper ones.

Actual wheels turning where you in control of the train . So the journey could take 6 hours but wheels only turn 2 and a half hours so you just get 2 1/2 hrs handling time .

Premier inn , Marriott which is about 5 miles from training centre and the horrible one in the town centre too .
