Well to be fair the some MOMs will be based there as well as other NR staff. Plus will be used as a training area for other MOMs and NR staff based on the LNE route and others.

Ah, yes, the unpainted aluminium window frames. Like the HST Mk3s, they appear to have been painted over as well (GNER era perhaps?). I also have my doubts about the lower colour used as they appear to have made the mistake of going all white when it should be off white.

90023 in Happier Times

A very rare (in those days) sighting of a WCML Class 90 on the ECML stomping ground of the Class 91s. 90023 departs York with a Mk4 rake on the delayed 08:50 London Kings Cross to Edinburgh service on 16/07/1992. The service was running 20 minutes late due to "mechanical problems" suggesting...
