Is it possible that the 334s could ever be cascaded onto Glasgow Central high level to work alongside 380s and 385s?

I think it's safe to say the class 318 doesn't have long left and the 320 probably won't be too far behind.

When the 314s were withdrawn, 318s and 320s were cascaded onto Cathcart circle services, so is it possible that the same thing could happen with the 334s?

I think you will find the Class 318 are going to be around for at least another 5 years.
With the Tbox overhaul just started, and unit 3 in the works it is going be another 18 months approx before these overhauls are completed.

What is “long?”
Considering there’s no planned replacement for the 318s, and new stock take around three years to come into service, i’ll I’d say they’re safe in the medium term.

...and after those five years anything could happen with a number of possible outcomes. I doubt a decision has been made as to how 334s would be deployed with the 318/320 fleet still having some life ahead.

The answer to a 'is it possible' question without a timeframe is generally 'yes' - it doesn't say anything about the probability which may be close to either 0% or 100%.

it would seem unlikely, but to an extent it depends what the strategy for replacing the 318/320 fleets is - including whether Scotrail look to move all the current services that currently have 318/320/334 to use 23m stock, so having a common carriage length. But that would be a big investment, and is a different discussion in itself.
