A friend of mine who has recently lost her husband as asked me to ask a question about her Staff Rail pass. Her husband was an ex-GWR then BR driver before he retired some years ago, he unfortunately passed away early list year. He always did all the travel arrangements. The question. She wants to know is about quarter rail fares. If she does not use a "free ticket" but chooses to buy a ticket does she get her discount of the special offer prices that are offered from time to time or only the normal "full " ticket price. Also is there any way she can find a "discounted " price, I looked on the National Rail site but there is nowhere to list a Staff Travel card unlike senior or young persons passes.
