Forgot to mention I was in Carlisle for a laal bit today on my way back from last night's football match in Wigan.
I went past Penrith outstation today on a virgin pendelino train and i saw 2 UID B10Ms and a northern counties bodied volvo olympian.
Carlisle:
34692 was on i think it was 62 forgot.
24116 was on 104.
PX59 AZJ I think the fleet number is 24124 was on the 79 to Dumfries.
A first X95 bus about to head back up to Edinburgh.
The 75 branded primo on 75, the 63 branded primo on 63 and the unbranded primo on 64.
20451 was on 66.
A 76 branded dart on 76.

Talking of Reays "Space" hoppers i think they are only busy because stagecoach citi darts are full and have standees come the new year reays will probaly be back to 2 passengers.

Many Stagecoach buses having all seats taken plus standees will be sending some passengers onto the awful Reays Primo's. Having been on one myself, I can clearly see why many people in Carlisle are choosing Stagecoach over Reays, despite Reays single and return fares being cheaper...
Reays have said that they're getting 10,000 passengers per week. I'd be interested to know if 5,000 of these are imaginary, with another 2,500 coming from the tendered services they operate. Even these days when I'm in Carlisle, I still see CityHoppers running around totally empty, driving past main bus stops in city centre, forcing old people waiting for them to get on Stagecoach.
They always seem to struggle sticking to timetable as well. Usually running early going to the Infirmary on 63, and late coming back into the city centre. If people have seen the buses at the Infirmary, they may have seen Reays drivers stood inside the bus smoking whilst on layover between runs. Hopefully this will be eliminated, with their new tracking devices. Yes folks, go to the Reays Travel Centre when it opens, and you can track your CityHopper on the computer! Why shoppers would want to go sit in there to watch a little icon move across a map on the screen, when they can be on a bus home, is beyond me.
I just find their full City Hopper operations very unprofessional really. They can't seem to manage to get all drivers to wear uniform either, which is part of the Coach Marque scheme thing they're a part of, with the logo's on the Primo's.
Timetable says its 2, article in news paper says 2, yet Chris Reay's press release says 4 :roll: if the boss can't get it right, what hope do they have of operating successfully. 64A has a bus starting at Wigton in the morning, with a journey returning to Wigton at night.
Like yourself, I'm surprised they're extending them, rather than cutting back until they "take off" more. The Stagecoach Carlisle Citi network has very strong foundations in Carlisle, and even after 2 months of City Hopping, Carlisle Citi still seems to be the favourite choice for many Carlisle residents. Operating 8 minibuses against 34 (i think) midibuses on Carlisle Citi isn't any real competition in my opinion. Stagecoach haven't made any route changes either since Reays started. Most routes have been operating at the same frequencies since before the Carlisle Citi network came into existence in summer 2005!
If it had grey seats, its 16441 (although, that has been sat in the back corner of the depot with red steering wheel cover on it). If it had orange, its 16870 (great mover that thing).
PX59 AZJ is 24121. 79/179 branded.
52628 on X5 today (well, yesterday now), with 20436 on 301's. The Bright Tech displays don't seem to show West Cumberland Hospital anymore. It just had "Whitehaven 301" on it. Noticed the same thing with the 600 as well.
This picture is rather old now, but shows 20765 showing West Cumberland Hospital 301.

I'll Appologizie 1st if this is going to be a stupid question lol ,If i get a northwest goldrider (£24.00) can i get to blackpool from workington with it, if it is possible wich buses do i need to use to get to there , i was looking at the northwest goldrider bounderies and seen it said any services in lancashire, any help will be appreciated.

You would have to get the X4/5 to Keswick then 555 to Lancaster then 42 to Blackpool

Goldriders are valid throughout the NW on routes operated by all depots (Lillyhall, Carlisle, Barrow, Kendal, Lancaster, Preston [but not Preston Bus[, Chorley)
In addition they're also valid on the X2 to Merseyside, X61 to Manchester, Stagecoach operated 685s to Newcastle and 79/179 into Scotland.
Think that's right - I'm sure cainebj will confirm.

47005 and 47059 on Harrington Circular's. Coming back on 47005 I was 1 of Ritchie B's passengers coming back on the 1710 departure.
20473 and 47061 on Seaton.

34218 replaced 15683 at Workington on the 1434 to Whitehaven. 15683 went back on at Workington for the 1535 to Carlisle.
Only buses I saw on 300 were 15683/4/6.
20436 and 16447 on 30/31 with 2 Darts (35249 and possibly 6).
16652 was 48's. 16734 done 1415 run.
34215 appeared to have been leaking oil in Workington Bus Station.
52628 replaced 53337 on 1420 X4, but had Penrith X5 on the display.

I know i'm a bit of a parrot but who is gonna go in there? I don't think any yan is because Stagecoach are bigger than them simple as that!
Reays only run services in Carlisle to basicly take up space thats all they are good at! Thats why I call them Space hopper's.

Might have been on short 300 and died, then 47007 on as it was early ha :roll: Short 300 fits the timetable though as seen at 1345ish. It is showing up as unlicensed, along with 761 and 765. So they could be scrapped, or sat in the back of a scrap yard awaiting scrap, or are being used as a source of parts by a scrap dealer. 757 however is showing up as SORN.

47006 pulled from Maryport - Whitehaven 30's this afternoon. It was leaning quite a bit, and appeared to have had a belt hanging out of the back end. 47616 replaced it.
47005 on Workington Town Services.
47023 Staff Shuttle.
53337 on X5, and 15684 on 301.

Well folks, it is now cheaper to travel to Carlisle from Workington by bus than it is by train, but for how much longer? The rail fare has jumped from £8.20 to £8.70 for a day return, an increase of 6.1% (on the bus it is £8.55). The single fare is now £7.80, up from £7.40. An increase of 5.4%. The current fare for Workington - Carlisle single on the bus is £4.75, and has been for around 2 years now.

It does look rather like- not sure why, but these three always had quite shallow stripes compared to everything else. Went like the proverbial off a shovel though, on the old X2

Sold at scrap value I believe, but when the scrappie saw their condition, they decided it would be criminal to scrap them, and sold the Javelins on.
