What is that supposed to mean?

I note that 1D34 2200 London Kings Cross to Leeds appears to have had a difficult journey this evening but it wasn't due to connect with anything.

The service at both Wakefield Westgate and Wakefield Kirkgate looks to have been bad on Saturday - seems to be blamed on high winds.

Maybe when GB Rail, or whatever its being called, starts operations, they should take over running of all British taxis as well. Make sure theres always plenty at stations doing nothing, just in case OP should happen to show up. Non-rail users can bloody walk home from pubs, clubs, their place of work, and maybe even hospitals

Wakefield hasn't got the worst service as far as Yorkshire cities go, just be thankful it's not like Ripon.

I would take Ripon over Wakefield any day, lovely little place, but one of those quirky small cities that have it due to the traditional "cathedral" thing.

I have arrived at Wakey many times late at night and always been able to get a taxi from the rank outside the station.

I suppose we did arrive late, but as you say, one would have expected something at the taxi rank eventually. There were several of us off the London train waiting for about half an hour but nothing turned up.

Local media say there is a certaint amount of unrest among taxi drivers ATM including a strike on Saturday night. May not be a coincidence?
