Late train made me miss bus to hotel

Still no refund. My journey was Great Western Rly from Penryn to London Paddington, tube to Liverpool Street, then Greater Anglia to Norwich, on 21st October. My train was terminated at Exeter due to floods, and eventually I got to London 3 hours late, tube and GA were fine and I got to Norwich 3 hours late, missing my bus connection. I didn't ask for a taxi at Norwich as the delay wasn't down to GA. Great Western Rlt Delay-repay approved my claim for the train fare, but their Customer Support refused to pay for the taxi. I am still waiting for train refund.

It siounds like you are waiting to receive compensation, rather than a refund, as you reached your destination (though obviously very delayed). The amounts would be the same though.

You've stated they've already agreed to pay you in post #79, so should be just a process of waiting for the payment. Did you request it via BACS or another method?

And now I have received a reimbursement of the taxi fare, so it ended better than I expected. I'd given up on the taxi fare refund, when all of a sudden my claim came back to life at GWR, and I have received the money. So, kudos to GWR and I take back the hard words!
