South Wales Metro - Bridge Removal

I read today that the "Devil's Footbridge" has been removed as part of the South Wales Metro electrification. Where can I get more information about what is planned for this bridge? Will there be a replacement or is the path closed forever?

I've posted a similar update (from LinkedIn) in the main South Wales Metro thread; a replacement is due to be completed by August this year.

Thanks. Will search for that. Many memories of standing on that bridge with my dad from childhood watching the coal trains. I remember the signal box nearby too, though that's been gone many years.
