Not seen much today, 16877 on the 80 everything else as usual.
Most of the fleet looking really dirty obviously because the wash at ME probably still isn't working due to the cold. All the Olys I saw had had the number plates at the back cleared of dirt.
Also a long Travellers solo on town services, think it'll the one from Barrow?

the MAN on X4 is 22597.
14257, 14258, 16714, 16734 all on 30 and 31. At least 1 56 reg Dart is out on there as well (think there's 2 on).
34616 running around not in service.
16447 done 48's.
34079 in its usual place on the back of JB Pickthall's wrecker this afternoon, being towed back to LL.
Traffic queue's getting ridiculous in Workington again, with pretty much all services very delayed. A woman was stood at Morrisons bus stop for 45 minutes waiting for 51 (51 runs every 30 minutes). She ended up giving up waiting.
47006/7 ended up being the 2 buses on Seaton 47.
34218 isn't sounding too great. It didn't seem to pick up speed as well as it used to either...

Its been at Carnforth for maintenance, I had it for a couple of hours on Saturday on 8C's until my relief driver mount one of the concrate bollards outside the new travelodge in Lancaster, damaging the off-side rear wheel.
Yesterday it was on 8A's, the driver was complaining that the gears were stricking (Bloody automatics!!!!).

20473 was short 300's, replaced by 16654, which was replaced by 20945.
20945 was on ASDA's.
16654 was originally on 48.
20994 on 1415 48.
16734, 16652, 20923 and 35249 on 30/31.

47007 currently sat on the annexe. it was on Harrington with 47023. not sure what went out in place of 47007.

16714 was doing 22 in Whitehaven but a UID B10M replaced it.

I think your right there. But i went up Mirehouse today, i came back on a 4, 47617 was allocated on it. 23 minutes late when I got on it. But as you say bad weather = bad services.

Sadly to confirm the boxing day free bus service (This year was to be operated by the Leyland Single decker built in 1979) has been cancelled due to freezing weather.

Main reason is to avoid damage to the vehicles. Spare parts for Leyland Nationals are rather difficult to come across, so any crash damage could be rather costly to repair, money the trust really doesn't have. Even mechanical parts are becoming extremely difficult to get hold of. I believe they have been searching for mechanical parts for CHH 210T (the vehicle they were hoping to use. A rare short wheelbased Leyland National) for quite a long time now, and have been rather unsuccessful (despite what the articles say, they DIDN'T buy it this month. They have had it since September). You have to remember that they are a charity, and are extremely reliant on donations.
Its a great shame that they can't run the very well used services, but under the circumstances, it isn't worth it at all.
