Hello,

does anyone know if the MRC is open this weekend?

i can’t seem to be able to access their website at the moment. I’m not sure if this issue is just limited to me?

I’d like to find out running days, times and roster if anyone knows?

The last edition of "Railways Restored" (dating from 2013) has a "Visitor Information Line" listed as (01773) 570140. Or you could try an e-mail to info@midlandrailway-butterley.co.uk and see if that produces any result.

Tried calling this morning but no answer so I won’t be visiting this weekend.

Midland Railway Butterley is closed until February half term, partly due to a re-evaluation of the profitability of opening on certain days but also because the New Year holiday is being used to relay part of the main line near the Butterley Carriage Sheds.
It is rather unfortunate that the website has decided to fall over at the same time, so that the news didn't get out.

Indeed. Pity that their Twitter account wasn't updated.

(Although Facebook was, however, updated, it wasn't all that clear from the two (?) posts on 31DEC2021 that the Midland Railway operation is currently now closed).
