Forgot to mention that Enviro200 Dart 36185, PX60DWP, was on test from the depot to Preston bus station on Friday. Full Stagecoach livery but yet to gain any fleet names or numbers. http://davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p68465825.html

Also, in the fleet news section of the new issue of BUSES, it says that ex Preston Bus Solo 47757 has entered service at Stockport while the two that are now at Sheffield in super tram livery have been re-registered.

You might of seen me on 15683 going to Carlisle.
And I seen 15686 on 301 to Whitehaven at about 13.10ish 15684 might of replaced it. I seen 47062 on annexe when i left Workington Bus Station.

47722 sitting at the stand in the Bus Station.

34690 on 61.

If Stagecoach sticks to the normal plan of things, it should be Lillyhall in 2011, Barrow in 2012, Morecambe in 2013, then back to Carlisle in 2014.

Bit of general bus travel info:

* Bus passenger journeys in England decreased by 0.5 per cent between 2008/09 and 2009/10.
* There was a 0.2 per cent decrease in seasonally adjusted bus passenger journeys in England between 2010 Q2 (April – June) and 2010 Q3 (July – September).
* Bus vehicle miles in England decreased by 1.2 per cent between 2008/09 and 2009/10.
* Bus fares in England increased by 0.2 per cent in real terms between March 2009 and March 2010.
* Provisional estimates show that 50.9 per cent of operating revenue for local bus services came from passenger fare receipts in 2009/10. This compares to 48.9 per cent in 2008/09.
* Provisional figures suggest that net public funding support for local bus services in England decreased by 3.1 per cent in real terms between 2008/09 and 2009/10.

Does anyone know how this compares to the equivalent figure for rail?

I had a figure of 50% tickets/ 50% "Government", but am not sure.

No idea I'm afraid. The DFT don't publish statistics for rail in the same way as they do for buses.

47024 must have replaced 35246 on Harrington - only seen rear of 47024 which didn't help :roll: but I assume it was on Harrington

Moorclose same as earlier, both running 10 mins late still - should catch up due to them not serving Wastwater Ave again because of the snow/ice (as of 1445 run) diversion via Mossbay Road and Westfield Drive. Lorton Avenue just passable :lol:

34215 on short 300 departing 10 minutes late from Workington.
Scanias on 300 in both directions on 14:30 slot running late - to Carlisle arrived at 14:46 and to Whitehaven arrived at 14:53

Traffic been terrible today in Workington!

16714 and 35247 on 30/31 (16714 making loads of squeky noises going up hills when i was going to hospital)

I seen terrorist 20436 sitting on Lakes College CAR PARK not the bus stop.

16654 on long 300.
47616 on 1.
35248 on 2.
47061 on a Mirehouse Circular but I didn't know which one because I only seen the back of it.

16651 on 31A. 35249 was the other.

47005 has switched from Moorclose 50 to Moorclose 51
14258 followed by 16733 a minute later past my house on 50 :lol: (16:30)

Reminded me that I saw 14234 doing catch-ups on Moorclose earlier today also.
Nice seeing the Leylands out and about :)

34215 sat on the annexe with interior lights left on.
partially repainted 34079 (back end extremely bright red, front dark blue very shiny as well. the rest looked untouched, but couldn't really tell in the dark) also on the annexe, with the engine running.
16654 and 16733 also been on there.

47006 sat at back of bus station with Staff Shuttle on flip dot.
47024 on Town Evening Services.
47005 on 2015 X5 to Cockermouth.

A 30/31 branded MAN (not 22600!) is out on the 1020 TransCumbria to Penrith. The allocated bus broke down en-route back to Workington. :lol: Picture to follow, going to defrost my hands in the toaster. :roll:
