Many thanks 03_179. I was sat on 1H68 in Euston waiting to leave for Manchester when a very shiny 710 crept in. But with 256 working the 10.30 to Watford diagram, it wasn't that one. Although if it kept on that diagram our paths must have crossed somewhere between Euston and Watford, but unfortunately I didn't see it.

The cleaners handwritten sheet at Liverpool Street by the end of platforms 1 and 2 records the 710s in use on the West Anglia routes. (They don't exactly stray far.)

(The allocations for London Overground aren't reportedly available so don't generally get answered.)

Thank you for that info, managed to get 710118 between Hackney Downs and London Fields and was on my way to Marylebone when I read about 710256
