Does anyone know what the isle of wight Island Line does regarding RHTT ? Most of the UK network is covered by various freight operators using tanks and MPVs, merseyrail appears to be covered by these small shunters with tanks, and London Underground is covered by RATs

So what does the Isle of Wight do? I can't recall seeing any sort of machine that does it, be it on YouTube or Facebook. Same could be said for SITT, although weedkilling the line is only 8 miles and could be done in sections manually

Glossary:
Rat - rail adhesion train.
Sitt - snow ice treatment train.
Facebook - A social media website for exchanging photos and personal remarks
MPV - multi purpose vehicle operated by Balfour beatty

I think they have a little self propelled trolley for weedkiller, noticed it at Sandown a few days ago - they've applied Sandite in the past, but presumably not since their Permaquip was sold to the Steam Railway many years ago?

Possibly some kind of RRV Attachment? I've certainly not seen of any RHTT unit used for the Island in the past.

With the "new" fleet could they potentially do the same mods as LU and turn one of them into a Rail Adhesion Train?

Though given the limited mileage involved the cost of doing so (and converting it back again at the end of the season) would probably outweigh the benefits.

Not seen one, the 483s were tread braked so they could get by without? Presumably the 484s are disc braked but have the latest wheelslide protection, I've not heard any wheelflats.
