Hi, I was watching an old Carry on Film last night, Carry on Girls, there was a scene when Bernard Breslaw was taking a train from I presume a London Station to the cost. It was a Western Region DMU, poss class 110 in Full BR Blue Livery. I was wondering if anyone knew which station that was filmed at, I did wonder if it was MaryleBone or St. Pancras. Thanks.

Thank you. (So were services from Marylebone at that time, late 1960s/1970s, operated under the Western Region of BR, rather than the Midland Region.)
The various Wikipedia pages about BR regions all skip over Marylebone. As far as I can make out Western took the joint line while LM took the GC main line.

I read somewhere that Marylebone was popular for filming due to its relative quietness between peaks.

I don’t think that Marylebone became part of the WR until around 1990. Until then the regional boundary was between Greenford East Junction and Northolt Junction.

I'm sure there's another one of those films where they use a dmu at Windsor and Eton Central, not sure which one.

That would probably be "Carry on Loving" (1970) with the station re-monikered as "Much Snogging-on-the-Green" railway station. Locations in the Windsor area were frequently used as film backdrops being relatively so near to Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.

Windsor and Eaton Central also featured in "Carry on Cabby" (external shot only) and "Carry On Regardless" (Kenneth Williams and a class 117 DMU).

It also featured in a film (whose title I've forgotten!) where crooks break out of prison to rob a convoy carrying jewels belonging to a Middle East personage. They are released a day or two later and there is a lengthy set of scenes at this station near the end of the film.

Windsor and Eton Riverside once played host to Frank Spencer as I recall.

"Two Way Stretch" starring Peter Sellers I think is the film you are after.
