Is this actually happening? If not then your thread title is completely misleading.

How is it milsleading? I found this by pure chance on the W.S.C.C website. It's the latest development into the extension down to Ardingly and eventually Haywards Heath.

Is this DEFINITELY happening or is it a proposal? If it's not definite then your subject title is misleading as it clearly states it is happening! It's not rocket science!

The title doesn't state that it is definetly happening, it just suggests it will based on the lastest developments. It appears it's waiting for approval at the moment, but is the solution to the problem and what's been drawn up as the plan!

No, your title quite clearly states that it is happening. What part of this doesn't make sense to you?

There's a difference between a "plan" and "actually happening".

The header is,
"These are the plans for the Bluebell Railway Ardingly extension".
If it were to read,"these are the plans for a proposed extension of the Blubell Railway Ardingly extension" then it would be more accurate. Putting the definitive "the" in the title suggests that it's taking place imminently.
But I know what you mean.

The subject title is:

Bluebell Railway - Extending To Ardingly/Haywards Heath!

which in my book means "this is happening". That's all I'm saying. I can't believe this is even being debated.

I would love to go on the old Bluebell railway again but as I'm now A Manc (born n Bred West Sussex tho) doubt I will see that old line for many a year (some happy memories with the odd day out with my grandad) :)

The bluebell have been saying for years that they would like to extend to Haywards Heath, but that they're not going to look at it seriously until East Grinstead is done and they've been able to pay attention to projects that have been neglected due to East Grinstead. The PDF states it is indicative, for information only and to aid discussion - there is no news here.

I'd guess that this has been created so the Bluebell know what their options are - for example there might be some land on this plan that they can buy, which would make a future extension easier (or very difficult if that land was built on).

As for the thread title, it's plain misleading, no question. But you probably know that and are just pretending you don't so it gets more attention.
