Apologies if already covered. Two questions -
1. Is the limited service still in operation?
2. Is it now run with the ex-LT D78 conversions?

Planning to travel next week; info gratefully received.

1) yes
2) yes

I echo @Bletchleyite Please be aware the timetable is a mere suggestion as to the earliest point in time a train may arrive and not a promise. You are likely to find delays & cancellations at short notice. Saturdays are a total lottery. There is no Sunday service.

Your best bet is the afternoon train that runs for the college kids. I take no responsibility on it actually turning up mind.

The good news is the bus replacement is quite reliable......................

And from what I heard on Tuesday, there was so much wheelslip/wheelslide, drivers reporting this led to cancellations as it was imposible to run the service safely.

This will I guess be partly down to the lower frequency, too.

The RHTT ran down there on Saturday ( the only train I think) Sunday ( despite all the weather) and Monday but the line often has issues this time of year with adhesion. I do wonder if the usual thin service is a contributory factor.
