Tube station - looking for confirmation

Hello there,

I'm not from London but frequently visit the city. Randomly stumbled across an article on the internet, stating that Bank station has secret hidden way of transport hidden within itself.

If you guys know what I'm referring to, can anyone tell me if it's (/was) true what I read or is it just a random joke?

If this is what you mean, then as far as I am aware, the writer of that site is fairly reliable with his facts. Article about the same project here.

Quite a few London Underground stations have passages / stairways / lift shafts that are now disused and not open to the public, as a result of combination of rebuilding, capacity needed increasing, interchange with new lines, replacement of lifts with escalators and so on.

This website has quite a few of them (as well as stations that have been completely closed) and of course the recent TV programme has shown quite a few of them off.

You could take the Central to Mile end the district line to monument. Technically youn have never returned to the same station but you are in the same station

Also the dlr goes around a loop like at Kennington
