FOC Drivers - West London

Hello,

I'm feeling like a change in train driving from passenger to freight. There is plenty of information regarding what TOCs offer in terms of routes/traction/conditions but far less for the freight side of things.

As I can't move home (live in SW London), I am looking for freight depots in South to West London ideally (so from research that includes DB at Acton, DRS at Willesden, GB Railfreight at Willesden and Freightliner doesn't appear to have anything near me). Have I missed anything? I would also consider any TOC that actually offers a good variety of traction / routes but that seems to be non existent in London.

Would anyone at these depots know what route / traction they sign in the first year - less interested what someone signs after say 10 years.

I'm sure there are plenty that have made the switch from Passenger to freight and vice versa... If there are any real big pros and cons I am interested to hear about that too.

After 10 years and 2 TOCs, I just feel like a change in scenery is needed.

Freightliner have a depot at Acton/Wembley and cover all mendip work. There is a huge abundance of varied work if you want any info on the work, shift patterns etc then please dm me.
