Yup! I’ve already done my psychometrics. Just read every thread on here. Very helpful. I didn’t find it too difficult. Just take your time and stay calm!

Same here, I got the email today but I already did the psycometric assessments with TPE early 2020 but it never went further due to COVID and the original vacancy withdrawn.

Fingers crossed I get somewhere this time and good luck to all of you going through the next stage of the journey.

I only hope I can make the tests this time. I always find they don't give a lot of notice and in my current job, I can't necessarily just drop a day off.

My advice to you would be to do “whatever it takes” to get that day off. If you’ve been invited to the OPC then you’ve already passed a major hurdle in getting past the online assessment where most will fall. Opportunities like this don’t happen often so do whatever you can to take the day off.

You will probably not get another chance, and if you do you’re extremely lucky.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a requirement like this before?

I recently saw a question in a TPE application asking what your parents occupations were when you were 14 years old.

Those are standard equality assessment questions - same as when they ask gender, age, religion etc. It’s not seen by the hiring team, only kept as anonymised recruitment records.

Sorry for the late reply, I got a previous email from TPE telling me I got through to the next round on the 18th Oct. Then I got the dates through on the 22nd.

Maybe send them an email? There could’ve been a glitch in the system or something which prevented your dates coming through. Also have you logged in to your application on the website? That’s where I chose which date I wanted.

I’ll leave it a little bit as I know reply times varie a lot not sure if it’s to do with surnames or what plus can take a while to hear back if I did. Yep checking the TPE portal every hour ha ha

I am almost certain that TPE use enhanced across the board.

Yes TPE use enhanced. When I did mine last year it was over 2 days. Did day 1 in Leeds, found out I passed. There was a bout 30 people per day on day 1 then get invited to a second day in which there was only 6 of us. The assessment days were about a month apart but this did have Christmas in the middle.

I passed the assessments but the application canned after a year due to COVID. Assuming nothing has changed then it is a 2 day assessment process providing you pass day 1.
