Toilets and unmanned stations

Does Kildale have a toilet? I ask because I visited there 4 years ago and only saw a small shelter. Might it be in a green fenced off building behind?

With only 1500 passengers a year that's a very generous provision. I was visiting ancestral graves in adjacent St Cuthbert's churchyard and may have gone behind one of the many bushes!

Yes, when you come through the gate next to the shelter, the toilet block is the far left of the small carpark you cross to get to bridge to the church.
If the link to google maps works as hoped, it's the red roof building in the opposite corner to the red car.

I arrived by car and didn't even see the car park, although I was heading for the church.

That's a good example, joint funding for a very lightly used station.

I wonder how often they get cleaned and by who? Don't suppose they're likely to have problems with vandalism or vagrants thereabouts. That seems to be a fear in many busier locations.

Oxshott must be very busy then, given the loos are closed all day Sunday when the station ticket office is closed, along with the various hours on other days.

It is on a line served by suburban metro services.

Garsdale has a very nicely kept toilet. OK, not entirely unmanned as the signalman is nearby !

Garsdale seems to be receiving a great deal of attention and as a result it is looking immaculate complete with fake gas lights. The signal box has had a repaint and goodness knows what is happening inside. Forgot to point out the signalman has their own brand new toilet just to the left of the door..

The signal box was looking a bit careworn until recently, so it's good to see it getting a lick of paint.
