Today's working hasn't run unfortunately.

I wonder if it's something like a test run for Porterbrook's HydroFlex train or similar? After all, it is a project with which the University of Birmingham is involved. Though sending it along the cross-city line does seem like a bit of a "brave" move... :D

As far as I’m aware there isn’t any 230s left at Long Marston. All the TfW ones have now been moved to Chester/Crewe. Vivarail moved sites a few months back too So I’ve been told.

Today (Tue) just the schedule from New St to Long Marston, so nothing inbound. Long Marston to Evesham and return this morning though, but with different TOC.
All those Honeybourne-Evesham shuttles are the standard Class 230 test paths. Half of them even say "pathed as class 230"! (Yes I know this isn't an indication of what will actually be running.) The other half seem to be exact duplicate paths, I'm not sure why those exist.

That's what I though too, which makes me think it's more likely to be a Porterbrook project (eg: HydroFlex).

Could it be in connection with Multimodal at the NEC, Candidates dropped off at New St for onward trains?

Last day of Multimodal tomorrow though.
