Is the 45 bus ever coming back?

Would've been useful as I have to pick something up from Colinton tomorrow. And it's also good for getting to Porty. Ahh well...
It’s been back for almost a month now. Suggest you check Lothians website.

(Please note that the part I've highlighted in pink is certain journeys only).

The section in pink is not really certain journeys only…

It’s a key section of the route and the vast majority of journeys run the full route, with only garage runs terminating at King’s Road. A few of other short workings here and there but the rest are full route.

The QMU section is the normal route, it's the short workings returning to Marine that don't serve that section. Just like the myriad of part route Elm Row/Bellevue etc services that are returning to Central garage or part route Longstone for the 30/33/36 etc.

Apologies, I had misread, I'll edit my initial post, thank you :).

Thats a good number of 305-329 withdrawn and debranded in Marine carpark most likely ready for a one way trip to Ensign. Unlike the last 30 B7TLs, B7RLEs and Gemini B9TLs these have all retained their adverts

I seen 190 today with its front Lothian logo removed, I presume that 190 was in an accident then?
Possibly. But not every removal is to do with an accident. Buses can still rust like cars (and especially vans) do (albeit rarely as bad), and fibreglass can sometimes need replaced. Something like a rock or small branch could easily fly up on a country road/motorway and put a dent on the front, it would need have needed stripped back, filled and repainted, hence the logo being missing.

Basically (within reason) it could be anything.

Was it removed? If it was in an accident then the panel was replaced and the logo not removed. As said above its not always accidents replacing panels to. small dents, rusting etc… cause it too.
Could be getting ready for the paint you normally notice that a couple of days before they go the logos disappear.
No. Lothian vehicles at least head straight from getting de-branded at Seafield before heading straight to the paintshop

Ahh right, thanks for that :).

It could well have been that, aye.

One last wee question, does anyone know why Lothian Country's B7RLE's are taking frequent trips to the Marine depot lately?

431 and 433 are back out today in the FoTF livery with full interior refurbs on the 2 and 1 respectively.

Just 431-435 for now. 436-437 remain in Skylink but could well follow suit in the near future.

Hopefully, the interiors on them are absolutely dreadful as they are. The new style seats really clash with the blue flooring etc, should have kept the original seats in them but I suppose they said 'Air' and not 'Sky'

What's all happened with the refurbished ones, upgraded interior lights? Wood-effect flooring? New seats? Next stop announcements? Nitro injection?
:p:lol:

Looks great. It would be nice if they got rid of the Skylink branding and just brought them into the normal Lothian livery.

It can’t really happen if the Airport charges are there and the Airport Zone exists. Also if Skylink stopped as a route branding then the the routes would probably need renumbered into the normal series.

I personally preferred the white and dark blue scheme that was originally used, it blends in better with the city fleet and can better show that normal fares apply outside of the Airport. The 2nd livery that is on 496-510 as we know is just recycled from the Airlink and so when they come to be replaced I wonder which livery will be used from then?

I liked the original one better too but I guess they kept the old Airlink colours to save money and since they were quick to change the fleet after 2 years instead of the usual 5 years

The blue white Skylink version to me is the nicest of any of the vast arrays of Fleet of the Future colour schemes!

Today I was on a 44 (652).
Hard to believe this bus is only a few weeks old with the rattling it was doing upstairs.
Must be a screw loose. Not me.o_O
Other ones I have been on were okay.

So in other words essentially renunbering the 200/400 back to 32/18 and withdrawing the 300

for the recording I am aware the 32 was withdrawn and didn’t follow the 200 route exactly but it is about 70% accurate to how it was and it is essentially a modern day equivalent.
