He knows it’s a 171 which a chav wouldn’t, and he has a T Key. It’s a Guard operated service, so it would probably be noticed. Not sure this is a big deal?

As I said in my original post, would a member of staff be allowed to hang out of the window at speed and film? I'm not an expert but if so, then yes no issue here.

Unless you know all the publications relevant to the staff member of the employer (if we are going down that route), you cannot possibly be sure of that. Just because it isn't in the RSSB rule book doesn't mean that a TOC may have some stricter internal rules on stuff which is on the Rule Book (or even stuff that isn't in the Rule Book)

As a railway staff member with years of experience and a cab pass, as well as all the right training and as someone who regularly looks back for safety checks, I wouldn’t see any issue nor do I know of any companies that have a policy against this.
I don't think anyone is going to be owing an apology.
