WAG have confirmed it will subsidise it until Dec 11 so it will be Class 57 hauled
0523 off Holyhead and 1615 off Cardiff Central for another year.
Has it changed in the new book from 05:32 off Holyhead?
I need to get some moves on this in during this year. I got a short move from Holyhead to the Junction in the summer and it was quite fun, although frankly ANYTHING would have been fun after spending 5 hours trying to sleep on a metal bench in Holyhead station![]()
Can someone please tell me what time the 57 hauled cardiff-holyhead service
leaves cardiff, and the return off holyhead. Will this working remain loco hauled
into the new timetable, or will it change to some god awfull DMU,thanks.

I would imagine it to stay local hauled for as long as the WAG will pay for it.
Sleeper to Euston, FGW to Cardiff, a few trips on the Valley Lines, Cardiff-Crewe, Crewe-Euston. (Or you can get to Bangor I think, before returning to Crewe in time for the sleeper)I would love to do this working but living just outside Glasgow means a daytrip is near impossible.

My solution was to travel on the Inverness sleeper, as far as Crewe
Local service to Chester and board there
Yes, I know it comes through Crewe, but providing the sleeper is on time there is plenty of time to get from Crewe to Chester
Therefore from Glasgow you could travel on either the Westerton - Crewe, Stirling - Crewe or Falkirk G - Crewe
Falkirk is my preference, as it means no need to change at Edinburgh
