First of all, I noticed a XC four car Voyager on the Up middle road waiting for the signal presumably towards Solihull/Coventry.

After this, another XC four car Voyager rattled along the Down middle road, presumably towards Banbury.

Then the first train train reversed wrong line to where the cross over is with the Down middle road.

The train that was then facing Banbury reverse around 50-80 yards wrong line on the Down middle road and then set off up the Chiltern Main Line towards Solihull. At this time the 08:12 arrived and I got on the train for my journey up to Coventry.

I then noticed the second Voyager then had it lights on suggesting it was travelling back towards Leamington Spa.

I know this is all confusing! Anyone have a clue what was going on? It certainly made interesting viewing!

It may have welll been an engineering over run, were there any trains at all going towards Banbury, the WSMR or Chilterns? If so the engineering over run could have been between Aynho Jct and Oxford if there was one of course

The first down empty Chiltern stock (Banbury-Warwick Parkway via Hatton) had to run to Dorridge, instead of reversing at Hatton because of over-running engineering work, although there was a normal service in operation after this point.
