01541 and 01542 doing the shunts around the Marchwood Complex, currently stopped on jetty being rewatered by a couple of fire engines.

quite a complex internally with various sidings and sets of points etc with it being quoted on the PA as 18 sets of points have been clipped to allow our passage.

Oh dear GBRf are not having the best of times with this tour are they? Traction swaps at late notice, routeing changes, refusal to access some infrastructure on the day, etc etc.

Still though it's a hideously complex operation to even attempt and I'm sure it'll still be a good set of days even if not all is quite going to the original (or even revised) plans!

Doubts now exist over the 69 run due to a union complaining about the space on the cab for a secondman which will of course be needed.
0Z69 was cancelled so it doesnt look likely that a 69 will do it unless someone rewrites the paperwork on that subject.

As far as I know it’s only ASLEF drivers that won’t work them, so hopefully they’ll still be able to find crew for it.

I wonder what would replace it if it doesn't produce.
57307 seems to produce when required traction unavailable and any mouldy old machine will do!!!

There isn't some magic 92 that is going to please all. I guess a 'non-sleeper' 92 is better from the perspective of all the other ones being easier to cover in the future rather than what people have had in the past.
There's only a choice of two non-sleeper ones: 032 and 044. Both very gettable on the sleepers before the Mark 5s came in: the list of which locos would get the Mark 5 mods was known in advance so you could prioritise the two that weren't being converted.

91130 has arrived at Polmadie ready for tomorrow. Unfortunately it didn’t make its planned visit to Glasgow Central.

Mini wistaston junction live streaming on YouTube from Crewe station for the sleeper, so hopefully she catches the tour as well although the 23 mins late May mean she misses it

According to stewards there has been an outbreak of Norovirus on board after lots of people have been sick overnight. Tour continuing as normal.
