The local facebook group is claiming that the 23 (the reverse journey to the 22) is also going to be doing the loop through Wilford village. Google maps has this routing but I can't find anything from what I would regard as a primary source.Yes I can see the need for a bus as well as the tram but given the 22 is going to go up there 5 times a day, 5 times a week and will then go to places where you can change for a another bus or tram into town I don't see a 4 journeys a week service getting much business.
Without being rude: have you tried the CT4N timetables? They're are horrendously hard to read online but do clearly show all 22 and 23 journeys now serving Wilford Village! The local facebook group is claiming that the 23 (the reverse journey to the 22) is also going to be doing the loop through Wilford village. I did, but I only scrolled as far as the map on "where does this bus stop" page which shows Wilford villiage on the 22 but not on the 23. I therefore didn't scroll down to the actual timetable itself due to the aforementioned horrendously bad format for online. I see it does appear in the timetable.Without being rude: have you tried the CT4N timetables? I sort of thought the same when 733 went to Kinchbus. It would make sense to have two more Volvo's branded for the H1 releasing the last two Versas as spares or to Kinch. Not my photo![]()
Trent 747 has lost its Comet livery for Mango. Surprised this didn’t get H1 livery, then it and 746 could release the Versas to Kinch
Very smart. The Midland Classic thread has been locked, so I will put this here. They have purchased a brand new Evora, reg plate is BV21OPM.
Those Solos are one of the oldest members in the fleet, so it would make sense.Very smart.
Some of the Scania Irizar i3's that were purchased last year have also entered service at Midland Classic. First two being fleet numbers 24 and 26. The two Solo's (29, 30) seem to be no longer showing on bustimes could now be withdrawn? One seemed to be used as spares when going passed the depot a few weeks ago.
The Scania's would make sense. 86 is the oldest (2001) whilst the rest are from around 2004/05. Also Centrebus 221 is still on loan. Those Solos are one of the oldest members in the fleet, so it would make sense.
As to what the new Irizars and MCVs are replacing, I’m not sure. Maybe the ex Reading Scania Wrights?

Hulleys X1: New Monday to Saturday service from Ashbourne to Manchester via Leek and Macclesfield
Hulleys are launching another interesting new service in September, the return of part of the Derby - Ashbourne - Manchester service run historically by Trent, then Stagecoach and First before the subsidies for most of the Route were withdrawn a few years ago. No timetable available yet.
From the Derbyshire County Council future service changes page at https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/trans...nges/forthcoming-changes-to-bus-services.aspx
There is a Macclesfield - Leek and a Leek - Ashbourne bus by D&G numbered 108 & 109 and run about every two hours.Certainly very ambitious. I assume the existing Macc-Leek-Ashbourne service is still running as well?

#Daodao mentioned that it was a joint Trent and NWRCC operation above- I only remember it from post-deregulation when it was the 201 (I think?) tendered by Derbyshire and Cheshire councils. GM Buses/First Manchester ran it for a time using coaches. Was this ever run by North Western (at least from Ashbourne - Buxton).

The X1 service from Derby to Manchester via Leek was historically run by the North Western Road Car Company (NWRCC) jointly with Trent Motor Traction.part of the Derby - Ashbourne - Manchester service run historically by Trent
The separate Ashbourne-Buxton service was run by the North Western Road Car Company (on a similar route to that taken by today's High Peak route 442) as a local stage carriage service. Was this ever run by North Western (at least from Ashbourne - Buxton).
If the new Hulley's X1 service operates as a regular interval service (like their route X57), I would not anticipate that these subsidised D&G* bus services will survive. There is a Macclesfield - Leek and a Leek - Ashbourne bus by D&G numbered 108 & 109 and run about every two hours.
The suspense is killing me.201 was run late 80s by
My apologies technical hitchThe suspense is killing me.
"GM" stands for Greater Manchester, by the way...I think Shearings did have a go at 201 but from what I remember 201 was operated mainly by GMBuses and then GMBuses South.
The existing D&G services 108 Ashbourne to Leek and 109 Macclesfield to Leek are indeed to be withdrawn from 5/9/21 and replaced by a truncated 108 service from Cauldon Low/Waterhouses to Rudyard via Leek, no longer serving Derbyshire. I presume that the new Hulley's X1 service will stick to the main A523 road.If the new Hulley's X1 service operates as a regular interval service (like their route X57), I would not anticipate that these subsidised D&G* bus services will survive.
* While this company is named after its founders David Reeves and Gerald Henderson, the abbreviation D&G is how this company (now owned by Centrebus) is officially known.
Which bays are outside? At some point in the last year some services have been shuffled around at Derby Bus Station. The villager, Swift and V3 have moved from bays 23 & 24 to bays 3 & 4 meanwhile the Comet has moved up to bay 23 to join the 6X. This now means bay 24 no longer has timetabled departures which is probably a good thing.
Bay 25 onwards are outside but waiting at bays 23/24 you might as well be outside at times!Which bays are outside?
Thank youBay 25 onwards are outside but waiting at bays 23/24 you might as well be outside at times!
