Just passed the quarry sidings and for the first time in years there is a train of wagons in one of the loading sidings, is this a restart of flows from there?

There have been occasional Thrislington to Scunthorpe services this year - this is one of them on Youtube

GBRF 66766 Passing Croft | 6D62 Thrislington to Scunthorpe Anchor | 03/06/21

These MJA box wagons are distinctive with their big "GB Railfreight" logos added to the sides.

I sometimes see this set at Doncaster (Down Decoy). It has worked occasional services over the summer including Rylstone to Scunthorpe, Rylstone to Wellingborough, Arcow to Scunthorpe and Thrislington to Scunthorpe.
The set arrived at Thrislington on 10th July so could be there for stabling purposes.

I'm not sure if the material going to Scunthorpe is necessarily for the steelworks, I think it might be unrelated aggregates traffic offloading within the steelworks complex.

The loading point is near ferryhill but I would say the Quarry is more West Cornforth ;)

These days it stretches over and skirts West Cornforth but it was always a Ferryhill quarry so i'm not giving them that. :D

Over the years they've expanded further that way and destroyed a few settlements, hopefully 'Doggie' is next.
