Thought I'd post this as to be fair it was rather amusing!

As I was working I sent my other half down to the train station to get tickets from Slade Green to Weybridge for tomorrows Brooklands Summer opening event, She phones me up and tells me that she's got the tickets for the three of us and it was £170

I said bloody hell, that sounds a bit expensive I'd better check them when I get in.

Somehow she has got confused and bought off-peak returns from Slade Green to Weymouth.

Still all sorted, got those refunded and bought the correct tickets myself this morning at a far more reasonable £26.90
Just made a mental note that next I'll go and get the tickets myself...

Bought Day Returns to Stafford at Crewe Booking Office.

Through the barriers, caught the train, left the station at Stafford (no barriers).

Few hours later back to Stafford station, caught the train. For some reason went into my wallet, pulled out the tickets to get at something.

Noticed they were tickets to Stockport!

I remember in the late 80's someone from abroad bought an airline and train ticket to somewhere on the south coast (could have been Portsmouth).
When they arrived at the destination they realised they were in the wrong country! Made the local papers!
