You're welcome to it! Though I critisise Kendal a lot, I must say they look after their Tridents better than Morecambe seem to.

Wonder how long it will be before 16185 is transferred out of Kendal to somewhere more suitable..?

possibly because Morecambe spend loads of time fixing Kendal's so don't manage to look after their own?

Should have quantified that slightly. Both depots Tridents are similar mechanically (as far as I can see), but KLs (surprisingly) are much better inside.

This is probably due to ME focussing on the MANs though....

I can't see how 18364 could just be freed up at the end of the month; even though services revert to winter operation, AFAIK there's no drop in DD PVR (unless....what frequency is 599 operating at currently?)

Most of morecambes tridents have had engine mods done to them and you can guarantee at least once a week a kendal trident gets towed in for either gearbox or water leak problems and yes apart from 18325/63 and 82 they need a good paint.

599 is 3 OT's until end of October, when it goes to closed top B10M for the winter.

Seasonal Services in Cumbria, change to Winter timetable

From Sunday 31st October, our seasonal services in Cumbria, will revert back to a winter timetable. This will include services 108, 505, 516, 555/556 & 599.

Services 77/77A and 517 will no longer operate until Easter 2011.

The winter timetables are available on the web site.

I didn't realise the situation with Kendal's was that bad; are they going to carry out the same mods as Morecambe to try and solve the water issues? I don't suppose much can be done about the gearboxes, except getting new better suited vehicles.

Some of ME's Tridents are fine inside depends which one you're on lol. I imagine they will be up for work soonish!

If KL are having such frequent problems with their tridents surely they are looking into replacing them.

Keep dreaming.

Lol they can't keep patching them up in the way they are, a new gear box here, a rear axel there, it just seems like a waste of time and money. But would their budget allow for brand new deckers? Would brand new deckers be any better? Are the Tridents even that bad? Who knows.

the only way forward is to move away from sh*t gearboxes, which Stagecoach don't seem to wanna do at the minute! they need to get rid of that Voith crap!

A very crowded afternoon for stagecoach today. The X1 that left the Uni at 1pm was packed to the brim and they had to turn people away, the 2 I was on at 2pm was exactly the same which made Hala hill very interesting. They even brought up 16877 to run short 3's, it ran from the Uni down to town as a 3 then ran dead back to the Uni. With it been Wednesday afternoon most students will be free (activity afternoon) so they'll all be off shopping. However another reason for over crowding in the morning and evening is that the University has taken on far more students this year, so many in fact that they didn't have enough accommodation on campus to house everyone resulting in them putting 1st years in houses in town and in some extream cases hotels!

14208 was on the Sainsbury's run.

So is the Trident KL have ever coming back lol and will an S reg returning be a permanent measure? 14195 doing a 3 to the Uni this evening showing X3 on blinds.

Wont find out till next week.

Cool, if the Trident KL have is in fact just a loan it would make more sense to take that back rather then one of the S reg's but maybe KL need it for a while longer! Will be interesting to see if the overcrowding problem dies out!

I'm waiting to see if the NW get anymore Olys from Manc!

We are keeping it, gets me why they withdrew 17022 in the first place and its like kendal are keeping 18364.

Mmmmm yeah that is odd, we may still get 18364 back, not sure if KL will lose a decker now 16185 has returned!

Interesting about 47022...not really sure why they have done that...

Boomerang branded solo on the 89 this afternoon, rather like that branding :)
