Is it known what diagrams are HST's next week?

I believe weekdays are mentioned earlier in the forum. As for weekends there are no concrete diagrams but I posted something about Sundays on post #131 and post #143. That was just going off RTT though.

I saw the 2 sets at Nottingham this afternoon. Not heavily loaded, but comfortably loaded, 1st class buffet seating area now mostly back in passenger use too. 1 or 2 standard coaches quite busy but these were the ones by the footbridge so reason for that being thus passengers not moving down the train to the fairly empty carriages at the end.

So for people looking for an HST trip these afternoon diagrams would seem good ones to go for I suspect, over the next few weekdays.

The 14th is much more convenient for my liking but obviously the dates won’t revolve around what’s most useful for me

I don't think any point in pre booking tickets as when I last looked it seemed to me no cheap advance fares on sale for those days so buy short time before joining the train in any case - (tho I guess you may need to travel to point of joining the HST...). I think v likely that there will be HSTs on 15th but more definite there will be HSTs on 14th. So unless you feel you must be on one on the 15th I would travel on 14th and buy a ticket when you know it is out on the day (or can see it on the platform for example)

There are a number of reasons why we can be pretty certain there will be HSTs out on Saturday 15th. Of course, there could always be a last minute 222 (or even 180) substitution but it's unlikely. There are 2 due out so there'd need to be a double substitution for there not to be any HSTs at all!

Think up thread it was suggested HSTs running on 8th and 9th May but maybe south of Sheffield only (due to RTT Leeds departures info shown on RTT as ECS Leeds to Sheffield). Would be good if anyone can update / post times

Worth noting that they aren’t recommending the 20:02 to Leeds as one of the services they’re advising you to travel on..

the weekday HSTs have been following the same diagram patterns for a while now. RTT shows the 'timing load' as for an HST as is often posted that is not the type of train that will be used. Ignore it.

I wouldn't rely on RTT as we are running Meridians in "HST paths" and they will show on RTT as 110 mph HST when they aren't

Interesting. Are the diagrams from Neville Hill correct though, or does it come down to the (metaphorical) flip of a coin over whether the diagram is a meridian or HST?

The 1245 Notts to St Pancras was a 222. You probably saw the 5M17 London to London via Corby and Leicester route retention train heading back.

1B46 is booked 222.

The Branch Line Society is delighted to announce, in partnership with East Midlands Railway and 125 Group, The East Midlands 125 Farewell, raising funds for Railway Children and Railway Benefit Fund. Operated by EMR using Mark Three HST coaching stock, our special train is expected to feature two celebrity EMR Class 43 power cars, 43102 and 43274, of course subject to availability. This is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the life of the high-speed train on the Midland Mainline, and their sterling work to revolutionise services since October 1982.
Our journey will take us from St Pancras International to Bedford and Kettering before taking the diversionary route via Corby and Manton to Leicester. There will be an opportunity for photographs at Leicester before we reverse and return to London once again via Corby.
There will be a charity raffle with a range of fantastic prizes, with all proceeds going to 125 Group. We hope to be able to provide a number of ‘money can’t buy’ auction items too!
