Have you checked that with the UK Border Agency? Why couldn't the same be done at St Pancras?
The UK Border Agency hasn't existed for at least five years.... Border Force or UK Visas and Immigration nowadays....

Something not really mentioned up to now is that rail access to Stratford International is pretty poor. If it had been directly linked to Stratford mainline (obviously this was never practical) then it would be much more useful for International links, but instead it's an extra change onto the DLR for one stop, or lugging cases through Westfield. I wonder if that's a reason why it has never had the Eurostar

St Pancras has non Eurostar services too!

I was pointing out that the 15 minute “hike” isn’t 15 minutes.

The route planner says 15 minutes from Euston platform to Eurostar checking. The platforms are a little closer to the west door than Eurostar departure area and you may walk quicker than the planner and definitely me and my sticks. Even a single station change from HS2 trains at Stratford would be preferable to a Euston-St P for me and many others who do not walk well. Maybe one day!

I routinely make ten minute connections between the two with the “15” minute, err, “hike” for less than half a mile.
You might be able to make a 10 minute connection to Thameslink via the council estates but Id struggle to even make a connection to Southeastern in 10 mins especially at peak times let alone to Eurostar.

Add an extra minute to the Southeastern platforms or Eurostar check in.
