How did they keep four B10's in there a few years ago it's so small.

Never have been four B10s, used to be a two saloons at Ingleton, and a Decker over at Kirkby Lonsdale, a Uni Sprint when they were going,

when Kirkby was ceased to be used, it wa sthree saloons the first ran empty over to Kirkby. generally the Javelins, before that the Plaxton Interurbans, before that Lazers, back NBC days the last ones were the 40 ft DPs

So, with the last Stagecoach bus leaving Sellafield at 20.30 this evening we can expect to see some major movements this month from LL. I think the majority of Vehicles leaving will be B10s but also the Leylands should go and even some Volvo Olys. Will be very interesting to see what leaves, how fast it leaves and where what leaves goes when its left!

I would hope the newer B10s replace M reg examples at KL etc. ME obviously have 5 Ms left but 20463 is on reserve so probably wont be replaced and the B10Bs will be around for a while yet I think.

Also this is a picture of 18008 from the 5th of September 2010.

As you can see it has branding. However in this picture from this week it does not:

http://darryl-p-jones.fotopic.net/p67465457.html

You can see the outline of where the branding used to be on the side. This strikes me as odd as 18008 was only recently painted into corporate colours out of A1 colours. So they have applied branding in the last few months and then removed it.

47005 was on Moorclose 51 this morning, but later replaced towards noon by 20195
47024 is out on 50

i wonder when we'll see the day when all town services are fully low floor for a full day again!!!
the situation won't be helped on monday either, cos short 300 is supposedly LF mini from monday! P5 PVR card shows 300 as 4 Scania's and 1 Optare Solo, instead of the previous 4 Volvo Oly's and 1 Volvo B10M.

Workington, Whitehaven and Maryport Town Services = 10 Solo's
short 300 = 1 Solo
58 = 1 Vario

all of that = all 11 Solo's and the single Vario, leaving the rather awful 34079 as the only remaining minibus as a spare.

in other news, there's only a month left of "summer season", which will see 77 / 77A finish for the winter. over the winter period, i believe it is currently planned that 1 of the Solo Slimline's stays at Penrith to work the winter 78 (Keswick - Seatoller OT route), and the other will move to Carlisle to operate the 69's in place of 42094 (service 69 is the only remaining Vario route at Carlisle. the other minibus routes are short 685 with a mini Dart, and 80/279 {Annan town service} which is also mini Dart) . when the one at Penrith needs to come to Carlisle for 21 day service or maintenance or anything, it will swap with the one at Carlisle, giving 78 priority over the Solo Slimline's. a mini Dart would work 69's while a Solo Slimline is off the road. there's nothing stopping a mini Dart going to Penrith to work 78's though. mini Darts being the previous winter allocation, prior to that it was B6's)

Quite a mixed bag on Moorclose 51. 47005 and 20195 as said earlier. Followed by another B10M which I missed the fleet no. and now 34079

20905 and 47616 on Seaton
47006 and 47024 on Harrington
20903 on short 300

i wonder when we'll see the day when all town services are fully low floor for a full day again!!!

We definitely won't see all services low-floor for a while then!... unless stagecoach are actually turning over a new slate from this 'new' allocation... and actually providing the right buses on the right routes at the right time!!

I been told by one of my contacts, that Kendal is getting some newer buses in the next couple of months. No details yet, as to what they are. Like every thing else, i believe it when its happens.

When i have taken buses to Milnthorpe for testing in the past, i have seen Kendal depot buses there!, So why start going to Lillyhall?

Hopefully B10s not sure what else it would be unless its for the 555 or Marshall replacements.

seems odd that they'd repanel and repaint KL's M reg's now if they were to be replaced. the Marshalls certainly need replaced. both of their Marshalls now carry Bright Tech Dot Matrix displays as well, which would have suggested they were leaving, but, they were fitted in place of the ever awful Bright Tech LED's, which i believe are rather awful to programme up.
i'm still convinced 20777 being done was a slight error, seeing as CE's 20977 is crying out for repanel and repaint.

47059 on Maryport Town Circulars.
47062 on 58.
17017, 15564/5/6 on 300.
a B10M on 30 and 31.
20129, 20913 and 20994 sat on annexe around 10 mins ago

I will put more on later, currently on my iPod in uni.

Reays new services I saw had a maximum of 6 passengers on, many with 0, yep, zilch zero nowt!

33076 and 33161 citi services.
Both joncks on 685.
20436 20994 on 600
15684/5/6 17017 on 300

16651 on 30 and 31 with 35248
34079 on 47

33076 and 33161 on citi services.
16397 on 554.
Both joncks 685

additional information from earlier:
later on this afternoon, i saw a Reays 63 or 64, with 8 passengers on. anyone seen any with more than 8? to be fair, i saw a minimum of 4 on a Carlisle Citi Service this morning, but most were between 10 and 30.
Reays 57 reg Primo (CityHopper 64 branded) now has operational LED displays.
at one point, one of the Reays drivers on CityHopper 64 to ASDA tried waving passengers over onto his bus, who were waiting at the stand for Carlisle Citi 62 to ASDA, but they all stayed at the Stagecoach stand, leaving the Reays bus to go with no passengers.

33076 was replaced on Citi 76 by a long Dart i believe.
usual mixture of Leylands and Volvo Olys on school work in Carlisle. 52408 and 52409 joined them.

20895 has been out on 66's and 93's, along with 20959.
20907 is on 79 and 179. another B10M is out on there as well.
34048 on short 685, meaning all 4 mini Darts were in Carlisle, so i'd take a guess that a B10M has been up on 80 Annan Town Service. i've heard that B10M's are more favourable on that route than Darts, due to steering on B10M's being better along parts of the route.

16331 is now repainted after repairs from accident damage, and was sitting in Carlisle workshops shining away in all its shinyness.
14202 also in workshops, with 20960 (new engine), 33162, 2 79/179 branded MANs, and a few other Darts and stuff.
16338 in the bodyshop, slowly taking shape after accident damage. Kendals 20456 (?) also in bodyshop, just about fully rubbed down, with a few new panels around the bottoms.

back in West Cumbria:
20905 on 30 and 31.
20129 on 47.
47007 on 58.

16874 was on the move in Preston this afternoon, heading off the motorway at Jct31 towards the City Centre, with a fitter driving and what looked like several removed seats in the saloon. Could have been heading to Frenchwood for whatever reason.
