seems its been a "fun packed" day while we've been in Manchester, riding their 09 reg E400's which are a hell of a lot better than the Scania's on 300!!!!! almost each time the bus started moving, we were pushed back into seats. very fast acceleration from them, and also very smooth!
was also on one of their W reg Tridents (W645 RND 17645) which was shockingly poor! very slow, kinda struggled up a little hill. interior condition was also shocking! never thought Stagecoach would ever let a bus get into that state!
was also on 19061 (MX56), which was just like a 55 reg Trident really. still felt better than the Scania's though.

18374 was on X61, with at least 1 of the CityConnect branded Joncks (52613).
unfortunately didn't see any of the ex North West buses (22808 and 22819)

47616 on 2215 X5 to Keswick.
53337 on last X5 from Penrith.
47005 on evening 30.

When i finally return to formby for my second week of "on the job training" ii'm going to have to try out the delights of either SC Merseyside, or i may venture out Preston way! If it hadn't have been for the car crash on my way down (bloody woman ran into the back of me!), and my subsequent immediate return to West Cumbria, i would have done it already!

If those Tridents are so bad its no wonder they are going on Magic Bus lol. Its now thought that when Manchester's contribution to the Rider Cup (25/30 E400's) arrive back more Tridents will be put into Magic Bus colours displacing Olys and Dragons. But that could all change at the last minute as ever :)

they're certainly in need of a lot of work! some of their buses even had graffiti sprayed onto ceilings etc!

Preston Bus J113 KCW and J114 KCW are for sale with EnsignBus.
Ensign Bus also have the 2 M reg Volvo Oly's that were at Carlisle depot a few months ago. at the time they were at Carlisle for onward movement, one had a Hanover Flip dot, and one had a Hanover LED fitted.

Sooooo 20451 finely moves lol. I would have thought 20463 would have gone first. Are those 2 Leylands going to Preston as well as one of our H reg's?

16655 has been useful!

We seem to be getting an awful lot of broken KL Tridents passing through...

I was up at the Uni today and had a look at some of the designs for the underpass. They have a mock up of what its going to look like and have chosen to put a H reg Leyland in the picture entering the underpass, made me chuckle :)

16877 on 42
20131 and 20546 on X1. 20546 later went onto a 55 from Common Garden street
14208 on school 81B
20463 on Ripley 55
20133 on Ripley 80
Normal Olys on other Ripley stuff along with a MAN.

Also Yellow Rose coaches have a new livery.

Inded, I noticed the livery on TAZ xxxx this morning, I tihnk this is actually a KLCH vehicle? Still, I preferred the old Yellow Rose livery.

14267 on D6, so I assume this is now Kendal based (ex-Barrow)

I think 14195 is going to take residence on the back fence and with 20451 leaving, 20463 is the only M-VCW left in the fleet.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
14193 should have gone back down to Morecambe for storage as well.

There's a rumour that more refurbed K-reg Barrow B10's are coming down for storage.

Isn't 20463 the worst out of the 2? Less power, not refurbed and still has its old blinds?

Yeah TAZ **** is a KLCH coach, so if thats got new livery thats odd. I don't think it was a KLCH coach I saw today...

Interesting about 14267! Hope they are managing a bit better now!

The logical thing to do would be to send 20463 to CE and keep 20451 but they'll be some reason behind it I'm sure.

Forgot to mention before but Little Dave laid down the law today when him and another inspector were getting verbal abuse off a lady. He refused to let her travel and stated that "we are not here to be spoken to like that" to which she responded with more abuse and stormed out of the bus station followed by laughter from the crowd. No big deal but was impressed none the less :)

looked to be 20901 on 47.
47023 on Harrington.
20931 on 30 and 31.
20910 sat on the annexe with another B10M i didn't catch details of.

the Preston Bus Solo that was sat at Carlisle with Cumberland Motor Services in it, is NOT joining Cumberland Motor Services. that one (think it could have been 47756) and plain white 47751/2 have reportedly left the region. it is thought that they have been taken to Chesterfield for onward transfer, but don't have any solid info on that yet. Lillyhall could have really done with them as well! been a very long time since all town services have been fully low floor for a full day!

Attack on bus
Vandals who attack buses have been warned they risk being filmed by on-board CCTV cameras after the window of a single-decker was broken in Carlisle.

The incident happened on Monday evening as the Number 62 Stagecoach bus was travelling in the Morton Park area. A side window had to be taken off the road for repairs, said officials.

Nobody was injured but a spokesman for the company said that buses have on board CCTV cameras which could provide useful evidence against vandals.

and another article about public transport in Cumbria!

Yellow Rose Coaches are now owned by KLCH, who have re-liveried TAZ 5284 into Yellow Rose colours, but to KLCH style.

I'm aware that KLCH now own Yellow Rose, just didn't expect them to repaint one of their own coaches into KLCH/Rose livery....

I suspect that they'll keep KLCH for stage services and schoolwork; Yellow Rose will become the Private Hire Coaches part.

Not Stagecoach related, but a significant development, with the arrival of the new Volvo B7RLE single deckers to Blackpool Transport, is that these will probably lead to the withdrawal of the last remaining ex Fylde Blue Buses vehicles. These were, of course, Optare Deltas with retained their K---FBT registrations.

ALL Fylde Deltas have already been withdrawn, there are only 3 left in service all in generic black and yellow and these will go when the remaining ex Anglian B7RLE's take to the road. Further details can be found here http://fyldebus.blogspot.com/

Interesting, my money would have been on them ending up at Frenchwood, seeing the 8 is transferring there. There maybe others transferring as and when the company is sold. Will be interesting to see where these end up.

Saw 47722 in Carlisle earlier at the Courts on English Street. This would have been about 5 past 11 when it pulled up to the stop and opened its doors. I didn't have time to check but I assume it was in passenger service although there was nothing displaying on the front - new for Carlisle or just a temporary thing?
