That is a station on the St Helens and Runcorn Gap railway, which is the final line on this journey, so it is advisable to make reference to the journey preamble where you will see that the last line took us to the St Helens area, from which the next line is the Lancashire Union Railway, heading northwards and via the Whelley loop line.

Likely, me being dim; but I saw two possible alternative routes north of Robins Lane Halt: none of the potential information sources made it clear to me at that stage, which was right -- I "flipped a coin" and chose wrongly.

It just seems to me, that we've been doing a mix of the perceived two routes of my post #88,295; but that's probably stupidity on my part -- it's now moot anyway...

Sorry, but that station is on the ELR Bury to Clifton line. After passing through Withins Lane station, we took the LYR line towards Whitefield, where the Manchester Metrolink trams now run and then reversed there towards Radcliffe, where on the left-hand side, we would have taken the LYR Radcliffe to Bolton branch line, where the next closed station was a halt used by a railmotor service.
