Been in blackpool over the weekend spotted ex chorley 181xx`s on the 68, a very scruffy 16352 with the coatliner branding ripped off, 16184 and a couple of 18xxx`s on the x61 to manchester one of them 18374.
Also got some pics of blackpool transport buses/tram in various liveries some in new colours and a rushed shot of the enviro 400h that is on trial there.

If they are not interested in saving money don't argue, it only increases company revenues! ;)

I've always found Stagecoach NW dayriders very good value compared to SOME rip off single/return fares.

Single Kirkham - Blackpool £3.50 Return £5.80 (Blackpool Transport, which takes a lot longer I'll admit, single £2.20/£3.95 day)

Stagecoach Fylde Coast Dayrider £3.50

PS Someone mentioned FOCUS of Much Hoole - was it Reays sister company at one point(??) Everything on finance and very cheap contract prices, just as fuel prices were rising fast

I think it had some sort of support from Reays, don't know what and wouldn't like to speculate, but grew far to quickly and didn't make anywhere near enough money to pay off the finance on the coaches. It was a shame, because I remember in the 3 years or so it existed the coaches and buses were turned out excellently and managed to re-sell the re-trimed ex GMPTE Atlanteans he had in a time when other operators were scrapping theirs.
Focus defiantly won't be buying Preston Bus as they no longer exist, Reays I very much doubt unless they have an endless pot of money. Whoever gets in is in for a challenge on their hands as its a very confusing situation in Preston at the moment, more so from tomorrow as Preston Bus' fares are to raise in some cases with Stagecoach' remaining the same in the Citi zone.

Why are they still refurbin it or is it tech problems

rumoured to be getting a brand new engine and gearbox fitted, although, dunno if that is true or not! hopefully it is, with it being a spare for 300!

20436 and 20910 on 301.
47024 on Workington Town Services. it done a few runs of various routes with the wrong info on the display (saw it do a 47 twice. 1 time had Brierydale 46B on the displays, the 2nd it had Moorclose Circular 50B!)
47617 on Maryport - Whitehaven 30.
47060 sat on the annexe.

Probably a good thing they are giving it a fighting chance as I think it could appear on the 300 a lot and we all know what that route does to a bus lol!

Been down in North Wales for a few days in the land of Arriva and coming back up north I have never been so happy to see an SC bus! Whenever I see an Arriva vehicle outside of a major city I am always shocked at the state of some of them. Guess I'm used to a high standard of public transport lol. Also stopped off in Liverpool where, for once, I spotted some decent Arriva vehicles consisting of 58,09,59 and 10 plate vehicles. Only SC stuff I spotted was some 03 and 55 plate darts and a handful of new MANs. A few pictures should appear on my Flickr soon :)

20962 and 35247 on 30 and 31.
47023 replaced 20918 on Seaton.
both 15685 and 15686 running late this afternoon, despite traffic not being as busy as it has been recently. drivers not looking impressed with the Scania's anymore.
34079 sounding a little different. still doesn't pick up speed well.

the only buses seen out on Workington Schools today were 2 Pickthall coaches.

Perhaps novelty has began to wore off! they still turn heads (especially from drivers!) when they exit vulcans lane and precariously turn down station station road!
34079 sounds iffy when its idle. They weren't switching it off though like drivers normally do with buses when waiting for the next Seaton/Harrington slot... don't think they weren't risking it!

20458 on 556 this morning, perhaps as a "556 says goodbye to M reg B10Ms" kinda thing?

18364 on 1620 556 - boy, can you tell this belongs to Lancaster! Sounds much better mechanically, but the CCTV is rather lacking and inside it's a shed..
