Not directly but HSTs have been on part of 222 diagrams as the 180s run together at peak times so really have to be a 180 or 222.

I believe that the 170s have all arrived to EMR in the 'as-finished' exterior condition, the only things added afterwards have been numbers on the front of the cabs, and the name on 417

It's a full repaint and that is what they visit Crofton previously and this time Holbeck for. We are hoping 418 is basically oven ready for passenger service having been in use until very recently, the rest are struggling a little though 417 seems to have settled down nicely now.

All the 360s have had GA branding removed (including the ones still with GA) so they’re all “blue with white stripe” now.

I know with social distancing etc. the 153s have been with EMR longer than expected, but surely with the 170s now being introduced they won’t be required at all? Or am I missing something here?

153s have often been used to back up 158s on Nottinghsm - Liverpool to make 3 car trains, but probably not today as it seems to be either 4 or 2 coaches. That said 2 153s have quite often appeared in the mix.

It appears they are still required for the Barton on Humber service.

Spotted a banner for the introduction of the 170's at Tutbury and Hatton yesterday.

Yep but only on selected workings - most probably due to the incompatibility between the 158s and 156/9s
