Makes you wonder how these people cope with day to day life.
I think that’s a little disingenuous. It’s always been a theme on here that some people seem to think it’s wise to go round acting as enforcers of on-train etiquette, and whilst on the one hand it’s in principle not a bad thing, on the other hand it’s rather irresponsible. Staff have access to things which passengers don’t, for example a potential secure place of safety, keeping foremost in mind there’s always the potential to encounter someone like Darren Pencille.
Just last night there was an unhinged individual which had to be dealt with in my neck of the woods, which in the event required multiple BTP to resolve. Had there not been the option to lock him in a carriage until sufficient resources were available then we’d have likely ended up with one or more assaults.
This keeps coming up on here, and the general theme is that it’s generally best for passengers not to start off conflicts. Even the most trivial things *do* kick off, and can quickly escalate into a nasty situation.
