Congrats to you also. Yes it's a difficult one really, a situation that is still evolving. On the positive side they have kept the recruitment process running, when they could have delayed it, and hopefully a vaccine could be available soon.

Makes sense to be fair that's what I was thinking but just have so many questionsAs far as I am aware, they will offer you a position by a phone call, or email if they can not contact you by phone. You then have a conditional offer based on passing a medical. If you pass that you wait for a start date. They are aware that a lot of people need to give a months notice from their current job, so your medical should be passed before this, giving you time to hand in your notice.
I think the last group have had about 2 months notice going by messages on the forum here.
I was told there would be courses running every month in 2021, but that was before the recent take over by the WA. If there was a course running in January or even February next year you would think that people would need to be informed round about this time really, especially with Christmas coming up. It does make me a little concerned that the courses could be delayed significantly and that they may decide they do not need as many drivers as they originally thought at the start of the year.
It is a worry, but unfortunately, there is nothing we can do but wait.

Yes, I initially applied in March 2020, but nothing happened for ages. I passed my DMI on the 3rd September and had confirmation on the 14th. I was told that you get called forward from the talent pool according to the date you went in and not on scores achieved at the DMI or assessment. No idea how many are before me, could be a long wait
Its different for externals but for us was 5 weeks from phonecall/medical/start date but I think external get more notice. Any questions feel free.

Very much this. Any applicant is basically a passenger in this whole process - there really isn't a whole lot you can do to speed things up and you'll drive yourself mad if you try! Rest assured that things are happening, albeit slowly.
Medical is your typical process i was worried but its no problem

I start my course Thursday were on the same boat but you wi ace it dont worry and fingers cross you start soon well deserved

Hi Redrobin, I had an email last Wednezday, 18th Nov to say I passed the DMI and was in the talent pool. How long did you have to wait before you were invited for a medical? And was it 5 weeks after the medical that the course started? I've applied for mainline and valleys, getting impatient already, just want to start now!

I've been in talent pool from Feb this year and applied around feb 2019. Lots of courses starting 2021 I'm no expert but I heard there is a course a month next year you won't have long to wait.
Is the medical done through tfw or do we have to go to our own drs?
Through TfW, usually through BUPA or some other private medical company. You'll be told when and where you need to go.

Don't worry, you won't need to invest anything either, it'll be on TfW. Just bring yourself and a full bladder!

Are the MMI and DMI conducted in the same place if so where was it ?
The MMI was after the computer test and in Cardiff office. The DMI was remote via microsoft teams
