Another thing I would like to say is it feels like lothian are withdrawing buses at a young age (like the 58 plate eclipse 1s) even know most of these vehicles are euro 5

They aren't needed and can be sold for a fairly good price. New buses + social distancing means they'd just be sitting around gathering dust.

Do you think West Lothian Council's Christmas & New Year plans might include a service between Linlithgow and Edinburgh too? Lothian Country haven't run on that route for quite a long time and there was some speculation that it had been sacrificed permanently to First.
I have no idea.
PVR increase of 5 from 21 to 26 on the 30.

There are 5 eclipse 2s so I’m guessing they go on the 30.
I imagine they'll just be allocated along with the 7900s to the 30/36/38 with the 2 returning mainly to DDs (at least for now). It was all DD today anyways.

LCB are to get the 31 tender for Festive Duties, so residents of Linlithgow will finally get their Lothian Bus back, just not to Edinburgh

their objective isnt to annoy every operator in West Lothian...
But surely the objective is to make money?

As if a low use supported service is going to be a gold mine? I highly doubt it. The issue with the 31 is that even if they did take it on it wouldn't have any real benefit to the rest of the network given that the X38 and EX2 are both gone.

I don’t know what they will do, I’m only taking guesses on this unexpected news! and for what it’s worth, I hope they do a good job on the 31

It’s a contract they should surely bid for contracts in their operating area. Do you think other operators are operating these services for nothing!

Not at all what i said, however supported services are not there to make lots of money and any operator who puts themselves in a position where they rely on supported services is taking a very big risk as they could be pulled from them at any minute. My point being that it only makes sense for Lothian to bid for a route if it can in some way benefit the rest of their network. For example First bidding for the 20/63/68 would've benefitted the X22-X25/X38. Lothian would be far better bidding for the 40/X40 if they were to bid for anything.
Both x38 and ex2 are still registered they haven't been fully withdrawn

The fact they're showing as registered on the Traffic Commissioner is irrelevant at this stage imo. Neither service has ran since March and it's not uncommon for withdrawn services to still show on the website long after they've been withdrawn, presumably due to admin/system error. At least one of the GreenArrow Leopards has also been debranded.
True but their both still not confirmed as withdrawn

I got told earlier the new evoras aren’t for longstone or service 30 earlier. I heard that 20 are due and they will be going to marine for 42,45,48. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this? I live on the 30 route so bit disappointing if it is.
