West Midlands Day Ranger

[ValleyLines142]

Morning,

Sorry, second post on here within a week!!

Just asking for a friend who lives in Redditch. He wants to get a Network Day Tripper. Does the £9.70 add on ticket (usual price £6.90) include travel to Redditch, or is this only the wider West Midlands Day Ranger which is £28?!

Thanks!

http://railrover.org/pages/west-midlands-day-tripper.html says that the £6.90 is for zones 1-5 (which excludes Redditch), and the Adult Plus, and Adult Add-on tickets extend this to some extra station, but not to Redditch:

A separate adult ticket is available called the ADULT PLUS

which is valid to the following stations: Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth, Kidderminster, Leamington Spa, Lichfield and Warwick after 09:30 and costs £9.70. NOT VALID between Coventry and Leamington Spa direct.

A separate adult ticket is available called the ADULT ADD-ON

which is valid to the following stations: Landywood, Cannock, Hednesford, Rugeley Town and Rugeley Trent Valley after 09:30 and costs £8.40

If he's only planning to travel within the Network Day Tripper area, he could buy a return from Redditch to Longbridge, since that is the first station in the zone. The total cost (assuming travel is off-peak) would be £6.90 + £4.70 = £11.60.
