Social distancing rules on public transport?

I've been on four Northern trains today. Do they actually have any strategy as to which seats get to wear the out of use sashes? A 331 this morning had them on probably half the seats leading to people bunching up in the standing space by the doors. A 195, 158 and now another 331 have nowhere near as many.

I thought they had been abandoned weeks ago? They haven't brought them back have they?

Looks like it! Not been on trains for ages until today.

They had also cordoned off the bit between the cab and first set of doors.

The 195 I went on today had those, but a 331 was much worse, with all of the airline layout seats having sashes plus the front section between cab and first set of doors cordoned off completely.

And I take great pride in removing the "out of use" sashes and dumping them in the nearest bin!

That’s a violation of railway byelaw 6 (5) (no one shall detach anything from the railway).
